Whats the wide receiving core moving forward?

Eli Rogers is on his way back, Justin Hunter is going back and forth with the active roster and James Washington is not meeting expectations throughout his rookie season. It’s nothing too pressing, but there needs to be a steady third receiver at some point.

Hunter got the helmet last week, and will likely play again today. He has the potential to be the third receiver in Pittsburgh, but he needs to prove he can be consistent. Without Washington really posing a threat, Hunter can easily earn a week-to-week spot on the roster.

Rogers’ return may make things interesting, but it’s been a long time since he’s touched a football during a game. Coming off an ACL injury is always difficult, but it’s even more of an issue for someone who’s been through the ringer with injuries.

dark. Next. Steelers without two starters in Week 9

The three will be looking to put themselves in the front of the competition, as the Steelers will likely try to find a solid option before the playoffs.
