Mike Hilton

I want to take this time to personally apologize to Mike Hilton. I haven’t put him on this list very much this year, and man, this guy deserves it so much.

This guy is one of the best finds of Mike Tomlin’s tenure as the Steelers head coach. His coverage is always solid and his tackling is superb out of the secondary. He notched two tackles-for-loss and a pass defended on Sunday.

One of his tackles in the backfield was on a huge third down early in the game when Baltimore was knocking on the doorstep. He was able to tackle Lamar Jackson behind the line of scrimmage, forcing a 4th-and-4, taking away any chances Ravens coach John Harbaugh would flirt with going for a touchdown on fourth down. He forced the Ravens to settle for a field goal, which protected the Steelers’ lead.

Next. There's room for Le'Veon Bell in Pittsburgh. dark

Hilton continues to play at an elite level out of the slot corner position. He brings confidence in that position on the Steelers’ defense. Hilton deserves praise this week after a great game.
