Luke Kuechly

The Panthers’ front-seven is awesome. There’s just no other way of saying it. While their statistical numbers aren’t quite there, any team that thinks they can just line up and run on these guys is in for a rude awakening.

It is possible to establish a running game against Carolina, but it takes a concerted effort to do it. This is James Conner’s biggest test of the season. Forget the Kansas City game or the first matchup with Baltimore. This is it for Conner and the offensive line. If they can run on these guys, they can run on almost anyone.

It all begins and ends with Luke Kuechly. He’s one of the most consistent inside linebackers in football. His tackle numbers aren’t near the top of the league like they have been before, but he’s still the Panthers’ leading tackler and communicator on the defense. He’s been doing it for a long time and he’s the key reason this unit is so good.
