The NFL’s best teams now include the Pittsburgh Steelers. People had them in the middle tier, but after Thursday night, they’re one of the best.

James Conner had 65 yards and a touchdown. Antonio Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster combined for 186 yards and two scores. Ben Roethlisberger threw for 328 yards and five, yes five, touchdowns.

Jon Bostic had ten tackles. Cameron Heyward had two sacks, and the linebacking core combined for three more. Vince Williams snagged an interception, and the team held one of the league’s top offenses to 21 points, as they’re own put up 52.

And finally, Chris Boswell hit all seven of his extra points.

The Steelers 52-21 win over the Carolina Panthers proved one thing – this team is real. Not could possibly compete with the Patriots and Chiefs, but a team that would be a threat to any team in the AFC, and likely NFC.

The offense is dangerous at every position. They’ve been playing without their starting right tackle and have continued to run the ball down everyone’s throats. In pass protection, Roethlisberger can sit back there for five seconds before finding a receiver.

On the defensive side of the ball, it’s easy to see the progress. This team has hit offseason form. Everyone expected to see a Steelers defense that can dominate a game, and that’s what’s happening.

The best part about this team right now is that they’re having fun. You watch Conner and Antonio Brown hype up the guys around them and you feel the chemistry. This team is ready to win and they trust every other player around them. That’s something most teams don’t have, but something that reminds you of the Eagles of last season.

Probably a good sign.

It’s exciting to watch this team right now. Everything is clicking, everything will continue to click, and unless something drastic happens, like, oh I don’t know, James Conner gets a concussion. Oh wait, Le’Veon Bell is “probably” coming back on Tuesday. Problem solved.

The depth is real, the skill is real, and the chemistry is real. Pittsburgh is nothing to mess with. Right now, they’re as dangerous as them come.
