2019 NFL Mock Draft: A lot of midseason movement
17. Seattle Seahawks: Byron Murphy, CB Washington
The Seattle Seahawks have a lot of holes in their roster. They are kept afloat by quarterback Russell Wilson and the offense but are unlikely to make the playoffs in my opinion. Their offensive line could use some work but the defense is has lost the majority of the talent that propelled them to the super bowl. Byron Murphy would be a good start in rebuilding the secondary.
18. Green Bay Packers: Deionte Thompson, S Alabama
The Green Bay Packers recently traded away HaHa Clinton-Dix. Deionte Thompson is the ideal replacement for Clinton-Dix in the Packers secondary. According to NFL.com’s Daniel Jeremiah: “Thompson has incredible instincts and range in the back end. He’s a better version of former Alabama safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix.” Thompson is a difference maker for the loaded Alabama defense and would be a steal at this point in the draft.
