It wasn’t pretty, but the Pittsburgh Steelers carried their winning streak to six games with a 20-16 comeback win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

No one thought it was possible. Three interceptions, no run game and a more than forgettable first half had all of Pittsburgh thinking the Jags got the best of the Steelers for the third straight time. But when the spark clicked, this team showed they’re still one of the NFL’s best, no matter what they need to overcome.

“Ben Roethlisberger come out of trenches, shows dominance.”

There were two sides of Ben Roethlisberger in this one – first half Ben and second half Ben. For the first 30 minutes, his performance was pitiful. The call to have Josh Dobbs come in was becoming stronger by the minute, as he appeared to have left his football ability on the plane.

Then, there was second half Ben. Somewhere between his third interception and the Steelers’ first touchdown, one of the NFL’s best gunslingers found himself. Maybe he heard enough from No. 50 counting his interceptions, or maybe he just decided it was time to play, but no matter what it was, Big Ben proved once again he’s one of the best to ever do it.

Removing yourself from a 1.7 passer rating in the first half is nearly impossible. Most quarterbacks would’ve continued to struggle and mentally moved on to the next week. But as the game got closer to the end, Roethlisberger’s charisma was unmatched.

His passes were like any normal week. In fact, his 78-yard touchdown completion to Antonio Brown looked like the deep ball magic the fans have been waiting for all season.

Never doubt your quarterback. Putting Dobbs is was never the answer. It’s Big Ben, people just have a hard time remembering that.
