27. Los Angeles Chargers, Jeffery Simmons, DT Mississippi State

The Chargers have one of the best pass-rushing tandems in the NFL in Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram. However, they need to improve the interior of their defensive line. Jeffery Simmons is a run stuffing monster who can absolutely eat up blockers. On top of that, he can make Bosa and Ingram better by plugging the middle, forcing running backs outside, and forcing one-dimensional play. He could improve hand usage to become more effective rushing the passer but that is something he can develop with NFL coaches.

28. New England Patriots, Montez Sweat, EDGE Mississippi State

The second Mississippi State defensive lineman to go in a row, Montez Sweat can bring some much-needed pass rush to a defense that is thirtieth in the NFL in sacks this season. Sweat is one of the more polished pass rushers in this class with a variety of moves, and a good first step off the ball. He is quick and flexible which he uses to his advantage very well. He is the type of player who racks up sacks in a myriad of ways.
