31. Kansas City Chiefs: Johnathan Abram, S Mississippi State

No one can deny the obvious need in the secondary that the Kansas City Chiefs have. Eric Berry is a pro bowl caliber player when healthy, but he has struggled to stay off the injury report in recent years making his lucrative contract look like a waste of cap space. Johnathan Abram is a guy who can hold his own against the pass but really makes his mark against the run. He would immediately step into the Chiefs box safety role that Daniel Sorenson is currently used in ineffectively.

32. Los Angeles Rams: Jawaan Taylor, OT Florida

The Los Angeles Rams would like to add defensive pieces especially an edge rusher but taking one here would be a reach. Instead, they take the best player available in Florida’s offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor. Tackle is a premium position in the NFL, and the Rams would be happy getting younger along their aging offensive line. Taylor doesn’t have prototypical length which is why he falls to the end of the first round, but he does have the athleticism to compensate.
