Phillip Rivers

This one is pretty obvious. Phillip Rivers might be the hottest quarterback in the NFL and if the Steelers want to stop this team they need to start with their QB.

This needs to be a combination of pass rush and the secondary. You can’t give Rivers time to throw the ball unless you want no chance is coming up with turnovers. Putting pressure on him is the only way to throw him off. Without it, this could turn into another 25-25 night really quick.

Pittsburgh can’t bank on mistakes being made, they need to force them. Rivers only has six interceptions on the season, and his 69.5% completion rate is one of the highest in football. The Steelers need all their superstars ready to disrupt him if they want any chance of slowing him down.
