Derwin James

Derwin James is an animal already. The rookie out of Florida State leads the team in tackles, has three sacks and two interceptions. It’s a pretty good campaign for Rookie of the Year, but his season is still young and he’s looking to add even more stats to it.

Ben Roethlisberger and James Conner need to worry about this guy. He can come up and stuff the run or fall back and find the ball. No matter where he is, the Steelers playmakers need to be aware of his presence and avoid giving him opportunities to make a play.

No one ever wants to say avoid a player on defense, but with Roethlisberger’s interception problems the last two weeks, maybe it’s needed. Although Antonio Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster might be looking to prove this rookie isn’t all that great.
