Calling Pittsburgh Steelers Nation, we’ve been named the third best fanbase in the NFL!

Fandom250, FanSided’s yearly ranking of all fans of all things, released their 2018 rankings of the best fanbases in the world. This year, Pittsburgh Steelers fans placed third best in the NFL and 16th in the world.

Pittsburgh fans ranked behind the Green Bay Packers and Cleveland Browns fanbase as third in the league. As difficult as it is to swallow, being behind a fanbase that threw a parade for an 0-16 team is kind of hard to to argue against.

It’s an honor to be placed this high in the world of fandom. There are fans of anything, from the HQ game to superheroes and everything in between. Being recognized as one of the elite groups of fans in the world is something to be proud of.

But none of this is a surprise. The City of Champions didn’t get here by slacking off. It’s the fans from home, at the games, cheering the bars or constantly checking your phone because you work Sundays that allowed this fanbase to grow to where it is.

Without the shirtless, belly-painted screamers, first game comers and lifelong fans, not only would the fanbase not be where it is, but neither would the team.

Keep the fandom coming! There’s no team in the world quiet like the black and gold. Thank god we don’t need to throw parade’s for winless teams to show the world our love. Just continue being you, every bit of face paint, lucky jerseys and certain seats on the couch and the world will continue to recognize us as the best group on the planet.

Next. Has Pittsburgh forgiven James Harrison?. dark

Next year, we’re coming for you, Cleveland. But for now, enjoy being third, it’s an honor to rank as one of the best not only the NFL, but the world, has to offer.
