9. Detroit Lions: Brian Burns, EDGE Florida State

The Detroit Lions best pass rusher, Ezekiel Ansah, is approaching free agency and without him, they don’t have enough talent up front. There are several defensive tackles that they could target at this point in the draft, however, Brian Burns could be the edge rusher that they hoped to have in Ansah. He is long and athletic making him a prototypical player coming off of the edge for the Lions.

10. New York Giants: Dwayne Haskins, QB Ohio State

Four wins in the last five games have dropped the Giants out of contention for the number one overall pick and eliminated their chance to take their choice of quarterbacks in this mock draft. There is no guarantee however that the team would prefer Herbert. He has all the tools and makes a lot of things happen but he has not been as consistently fantastic as Ohio State’s Dwyane Haskins has this season. As long as they walk away with one of the top two quarterbacks in this class the Giants will go home happy.
