Chris Boswell – Stock: Even

Boswell’s rocky season continued when he lined up for a 32 yard field goal to make it 17-7 early in the third quarter. He missed the kick so badly to the right that it missed the field goal net behind the goal posts.

Boswell hung his head defeated and headed off the field to the sideline. It is a lonely life being a kicker after a missed field goal. Below is a tweet with Boswell pictured alone on the bench.

His night would change when Tomlin showed confidence in him to go out and hit another in a high pressure situation. He came out and lined up for a 48-yarder that would stretch the game to 17-10 and make Brady get a touchdown to extend the game.

Boswell booted it right down the middle with plenty of room to spare. This could be a huge confidence booster to Boswell as the season nears an end and the playoffs begin.

The Steelers face the high-powered Saints and they need another performance like Sunday to win. The Saints defense has been very good as of late and their offense is poised to get back on track.
