Alvin Kamara

While the Saints do employ a dual-threat running back combo of Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram, Kamara is the more dangerous of the two.

While they both average about the same yards-per-carry, Kamara is clearly the bigger threat in the passing game. On top of his 860 rushing yards, Kamara has 627 yards receiving on 77 catches. His 1,487 yards from scrimmage is sixth in the NFL, fifth among running backs. That is a highly impressive number given how many touches are given to Mark Ingram.

Kamara has the bigger “splash play” potential of the two as well. His burst through the middle and in open space is eye-popping. He’s highly athletic and is just a special back to watch. His threat in both the running and passing game could give the Steelers’ defense fits all game long. The Steelers do lack a bit in athleticism down the middle of the defense and Kamara could exploit that.
