Jesse James

Jesse James has become a hometown hero in Pittsburgh. The tight end is the best backup in the NFL and has earned the love from all of the Steelers’ fanbase during his time with the team. But with his contract coming to an end and Vance McDonald living up to the expectations set for him, James’ role won’t change if he stays in the Steel City.

It won’t come down to money but more of his playing time. James can be a starting tight end in the NFL and he knows that. If he’s confident enough he can land somewhere with a chance to prove himself in a bigger role he’ll leave Pittsburgh for free agency.

It’s sad to see him go so young but the Steelers have a very capable tight end in McDonald and could use the draft to find their next Jesse James. He may not earn the Baby Heath nickname James did but if he can play just as well on the field it’ll work out.
