15. Washington Redskins: Kyler Murray, QB Oklahoma

The Washington Redskins are in a tough spot at quarterback with questions about Alex Smith’s future health and playing career. Even if Smith does make a return he is a good fit to mentor a young quarterback like Kyler Murray. It would be a familiar situation for Smith who played mentor to Patrick Mahomet in Kansas City. Murray is my favorite quarterback prospect in this years drat but he has to prove he is all in on football to get drafted early in the first round.

16. Carolina Panthers: Jachai Polite, EDGE Florida

The Carolina Panthers were in the bottom six of the NFL in terms of sacks last season. Of their 35 sacks five of them came from the now 39 year old Julius Peppers. The Panthers need to get younger at all levels of their defense especially pass rusher. Jachai Polite is someone who was relatively unknown prior to the season due to lack of experience but played himself well into the first round conversation.
