LaMarcus Joyner

The LA Rams have a playmaker at safety, but if they allow him to hit the open market the Steelers could offer him a fairly nice contract. After the Morgan Burnett project didn’t work out, they’ll consider adding another safety, and if Joyner is around he’s an option.

He’s a high-market player, but the Steelers need to make a splash. If the Rams let him go, Pittsburgh needs to at least take a shot. After not even trying for Tyrann Mathieu last offseason, they need to try for a big-name player. Joyner is that man.

Playing alongside Sean Davis and Terrell Edmunds, Joyner would be the veteran presence to take the secondary to the next level. The three of the them could redefine the unit as a whole, and could be the missing piece to the puzzle if the Steelers are going to target a cornerback in the draft.
