The Negatives

With most any prospect, there will be negatives to their tape. This is what makes scouting fun is weighing the negatives and positives and seeing if one outweighs the other.

In the case of Greedy Williams, one negative is his seemingly uncaring attitude at points during games. There are times in various games where he looked as though he was out there going through the motions.

This cannot happen in the NFL or offenses will rip him apart. He has to do a better job of staying focused in coverage and locking down his man.

Speaking of man, that coverage is his strength. The same cannot be said about his zone coverage. His ability to read and react in his zone needs work.

He also is not the most physical corner ever. He seems entirely uninterested in run support from his corner spot and that is alarming.

Some of the best corners are not only coverage guys but can come up in run support. With his run support lacking any type of force, he often whiffs on his tackle attempts.

I do believe most of these negatives can be worked out with the right coach and defensive scheme. A lot may have to do with being of a smaller frame and he just needs to add some bulk to it to be able to fill the gaps when necessary.
