The Positives

Deandre Baker, much like Greedy Williams, is a press man corner. He has adequate arm length for only being 5’11” which helps him to jam receivers at the line and limit their release.

Baker is a very physical corner for his size and that is needed in today’s NFL with some of the bigger receivers in the league. Being overly physical can have its downfalls but if he can control his physicality within the rules of the game, it can be a huge asset in making it in the league.

Unlike Williams, Baker is a very willing run supporter. He will come up in run support and take on blockers to force runners to change direction. He is also not afraid to come up and make a tackle on his own.

He utilizes his physical play to help make up for his lack of speed. His physicality and mental awareness helps to mask having less speed than other corners.

His experience in various man and zone coverages gives him an edge as a prospect. He is best in man and press coverages but he also has done multiple different coverages and done well.
