The Negatives

Baker’s game is oriented around being a physical, in-your-face corner. He is not built to outrun a deep threat down the field on a go route.

I won’t say he is slow but he sometimes lacks the consistent speed at the top of routes to hang with quicker and speedier receivers. This is why he is best fit for having a majority of man responsibilities as of this moment.

With the right coaching he can work on his downfalls in zone coverage such as being to aggressive and jumping routes too early, leaving a trailing player open within his zone. He is not an overly athletic guy with crazy height or strength but he can still get the job done.

He could stand to gain some muscle on his frame and add a little weight at the next level. The players are bigger, faster and stronger so the smaller he is, the harder it is to maintain his physical style.

The single most alarming thing about Baker that is agreed on by a lot of scouts is the lack of long speed. He is great in man coverage and press but the worry is that if he is beaten in press situations he will not be able to catch up to receivers.
