Artie Burns

Artie Burns doesn’t have a place on this team moving forward. If the Steelers are trying to keep anyone as a backup cornerback, they’ll think about Coty Sensabaugh. After losing the starting job and then wasting the opportunity to gain it back, Burns’ time on the field in black and gold is now finished.

If he’s on the roster in 2019, he’ll spend almost all of his time on the sidelines. The former first-round pick isn’t a starter in the NFL, but he could revamp his career before it’s over. Not in Pittsburgh, though.

Burns is in desperate need of a start over. The Steelers aren’t going to give him another chance to start, especially if they bring in a rookie during the 2019 NFL Draft. So, instead of wasting money on Burns this season they should do both parties a favor and send him to the free agent market before it opens.
