Marcus Gilbert

Marcus Gilbert missed most of the 2018 season with a knee injury and it definitely hurt his career. Matt Feiler proved his ability to start in the NFL and with Chuk Okarafor entering his second year, the Steelers don’t necessarily need two backup tackles.

Gilbert is part of a tenured offensive line in Pittsburgh. His presence will be missed but it won’t effect the productivity of the unit. At this point, the offense is used to Feiler and should hand him the job moving forward.

Gilbert will find a home somewhere and earn decent money wherever he ends up in 2019. But in Pittsburgh, his 2018 injury has removed him from the future of the offensive line.
