Matt McCrane

The Steelers needed to add a kicker towards the end of the season with Chris Boswell’s injury, and Matt McCrane played well filling the position. With Boswell’s struggles in 2018, many may think the kicking competition is wide open heading into the summer, but really, it’s still Boswell’s to keep.

McCrane isn’t a kicker they need to keep on the roster and if they’re going to make Boswell prove his worth the Steelers should consider bringing in a player like Matt Bryant.

The young kicker did well in Pittsburgh and hopefully can land another job in the league this season. But the Wizard of Boz isn’t going anywhere after one bad season.

The Steelers will work with him all summer to assure he fixes his struggles and continue to pay him while he’s on the roster instead of losing money after one year under his new contract extension.
