Pittsburgh Steelers film room: Michigan linebacker Devin Bush
The Pittsburgh Steelers’ offseason has begun. The focus on the draft here at Still Curtain is full speed ahead and with that, I bring you the Film Room series covering a new prospect at a position of need for the Steelers every time.
In this installment, we are going to take a break from corner to address an equal position of need. The Steelers need an inside linebacker in a bad way.
The team did not do enough in the 2018 offseason to prepare for the loss of Ryan Shazier following his spinal cord injury. They signed Jonathan Bostic but he was not the fill in they needed to even come close to replacing Shazier’s electric play style and skill set.
If they choose to sign one, there are plenty of options available this year to help make sure they have a play-maker inside in 2019. If they do not sign anyone, there are a few guys I would like to see them take at 20 overall should they be there.
The first guy hails to the victors donning the maize and blue in college. That’s right, it is none other than Devin Bush from Michigan.
Bush is one of the draft’s top prospects and had a good combine to help improve his stock. Many mocks seem to link Bush to Pittsburgh and I can absolutely see why.
