The Positives

Devin Bush is an extremely talented linebacker with good quickness for his size. He ran a 4.43 40 yard dash at the combine. At a stout 235 pounds, that is great straight line speed for his build.

Bush analyzes plays well from his inside linebacker spot and places himself well to fill gaps in the run game. When he fills a gap, he fills with authority and conviction.

His ability to evade blockers and get to the ball carrier will help secure his stock as a top-20 pick in April. His sideline to sideline speed and his great pro day workout may do more to push him into the top-15 with fellow linebacker prospect Devin White.

Bush’s coverage skills should not be lost on potential suitors as he tallied 11 passes defensed as the big dog in the Michigan defense the last two seasons. He also recorded 10 sacks and an interception within that time frame.

His speed and size will allow him to take on tight end and running back assignments from his inside linebacker spot. This is something becoming more and more necessary in today’s NFL and he fits the bill 100 percent.
