The Negatives

While Bush has a bigger build, he is still considered undersized to the league. His height and length are the most concerning and not so much his weight and bulk.

His lack of adequate length hinders his ability to tackle in space and he will not be able to keep NFL linemen from gaining inside advantage and bullying him at the point of attack.

He will need to react faster at the next level and use his speed to his advantage. The NFL game is a much faster beast and he cannot waste precious time with slow reactions to developing plays.

He will also need to improve his tackle success rate. Sometimes speed can get you in trouble and that is the case with Bush. He can over-pursue and take poor angles to the ball-carrier at times and that is problematic.

There are not too many negatives to Bush’s actual game itself and most of the negative can be corrected. He is absolutely one of the top two linebackers in this draft despite his smaller build and his lack of length.
