Strengths

White is a freakish athlete at his position. He’s already a great size (6’0″ 234 lbs.) for the modern inside linebacker, but add his strength and speed and he becomes a dangerous combination in the middle of any defense.

When he commits to a decision on the field, his closing speed is very impressive. He can attack the backfield very well from the inside, hitting the right gaps to help get after the runner or quarterback.

He attacks the ball extremely well, especially when tackling opposing runners. The Steelers need ball hawks on defense, and White could add that almost immediately. He forced three fumbles in 2018, but he consistently knows where the ball is and isn’t afraid to go after it.

White would be a great addition for the Steelers defense in improving against the run. His elite athleticism and decent vision would help him be patient from gap to gap and then have a quick burst against running backs.
