Weaknesses

His tackling needs to improve. He’s not a bad tackler, but too often he gives up additional yards when the better power runners attack him. He needs to get lower on those backs so it’s not so easy to get pushed back.

His decision-making can be a bit slow. He can make up for it a bit because of his speed, but this will need to seriously improve at the NFL level, where the game moves much faster than college.

He can get caught up in blocks on the second level. This would obviously be a detriment to the run defense where he gets caught up in those blocks, but again, quicker decision making may help him get around those blocks.

He didn’t get tested a lot in coverage in college, so it’s a small sample size. The Steelers need inside linebackers that can cover well and this looks like it would be an area he would have to be coached up to compete well in that area in the NFL.
