The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced their 2019 Preseason Schedule, which includes some familiar faces from Preseason’s past.

It’s almost football season again. Well, not really, but with each day we inch closer to seeing what the Pittsburgh Steelers have to offer in 2019. This week, the team finally announced who they’ll face during their four exhibition games in the 2019 Preseason.

The Steelers will host the Tampa Bay Buccanneers and Kansas City Chiefs at Heinz Field to start their season. From there, they’ll travel to Tennessee to take on the Titans in Week 3. They’ll finish the Preseason in Carolina, taking on the Panthers for the 17th consecutive year these two will square off in the final week of the Preseason.

Pittsburgh doesn’t have many question so far as to where they’ll need to focus on depth this year. Mason Rudolph and Josh Dobbs will likely be the biggest back story as they fight for the second-string quarterback job. Whoever the Steelers find to replace Jesse James will also be a hot topic as he’ll likely get plenty of action during the Preseason.

On defense, it’ll be guys like Steven Nelson and Mark Barron who everyone will be watching. The newest additions to the roster have high expectations and should get some first team reps throughout the four games.

Although the Preseason isn’t as attention grabbing as the regular season, the Steelers love to utilize it for their depth players. Last year, guys like Josh Dobbs and Coty Sensabaugh used their four games to secure positions higher up in the depth chart. This year, plenty of players will be looking to do the same.

With questions to be answered, and some still yet to be created, Pittsburgh is getting closer and closer to football. The NFL Draft will bring the next round of talent and with it plenty of reasons to watch the Steelers battle for four weeks before Week 1.
