The Pittsburgh Steelers have four wide receivers they’d like to keep on the roster this season, but one expert says they aren’t done yet.
There are plenty of options the Pittsburgh Steelers will consider with the 20th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. From inside linebacker to cornerback and possibly an edge rusher, the talent is stacked from start to finish in this year’s draft class.
But one expert says Pittsburgh could be leaning another way. Adding a wide receiver this offseason, the Steelers may have replaced Antonio Brown’s roster spot, but they haven’t necessarily replaced the talent. According to NFL.com writer, Adam Rank, the 20th pick could be the landing spot for Arizona State star, N’Keal Harry.
Harry, the 6’4 standout who ran a 4.53 40-yard dash has some worries in his game. Despite being fluent with the ball in his hands, many are concerned about his tape. His value in this draft has bounced from a top-10 pick to the bottom of the first round and everywhere in between. Finding him at No. 20 is certainly a realistic thought.
Pittsburgh may not need a wide receiver more than other positions, but if they’re thinking best available it could mean Harry. They’ll likely look at a running back and tight end on the offensive side of the ball, but neither are a first-round concern.
At this point, the Steelers have given no real indication as to where they’re looking to take their first-round selection. They also haven’t decided whether or not they’d spend some of their 10 draft picks to move up in any round.
It’s a mystery which direction this team will go come draft day, but ruling out a wide receiver isn’t the thought. Harry could be an option, and if they like him as the best available once they’re on the clock, they’ll add another receiver to the mix.
