Zach Gentry, TE, Michigan

After the Lions signed Jesse James away from the Steelers, we knew tight end was going to be a big need of theirs. Gentry was not one of the Steelers pre-draft visits, nor was he tight end that was on my radar for Pittsburgh.

Zach Gentry is a mammoth of  a tight end at 6’8’’ and 265 pounds. However, Gentry didn’t test well at the NFL Scouting Combine and the former quarterback recruit is truly raw at the position. You can’t teach size like that, but the Steelers have a real project in Gentry.

Grade: D+
