Dion Jordan, EDGE

This name may come as a surprise to you, because it hasn’t been one I’ve seen tied to the Steelers. However, that may not be such a bad thing.

Dion Jordan is a former busted first round pick of the Miami Dolphins all the way back in 2013 (ironically enough, the same year the Steelers busted on Jarvis Jones). Jordan has some major concerns: he only has 8.5 career sacks to his name, and he missed the entire 2015 and 2016 seasons after violating the leagues substance abuse policy.

However, he started 3 games for Seattle last season and showed enough to warrant a look. Pro Football Focus ranked him as the 56th best edge defender in the NFL a season ago. The Steelers didn’t add help here early in the draft and could use a competent pass rusher who could earn a handful of snaps per game. The price should be low enough for Pittsburgh to take a look, if they are willing to deal with a player who has had issues in the past.
