Why Mike Mitchell would be a good signing for the Steelers

He could provide a veteran presence to a young secondary

Outside of Joe Haden, the Steelers don’t have a lot of experience anywhere in the secondary. In fact, there isn’t a player outside of him with more than three years of experience (most with a whole lot less time as a starter).

Though Mike Mitchell was known for being a hot-head at times, he would bring a veteran presence to a very young safety group who are currently without a ‘big brother’ mentor.
