1. Artie Burns, CB

This shouldn’t comes as a surprise to you, as his name has been circulating this offseason. In fact, an ESPN analyst recently wrote a piece on why he believes the Philadelphia Eagles should make a move for Burns.

There are reasons why dealing Artie Burns could make sense for both parties involved.

Burns is a former 1st round pick from the 2016 draft class. As such, he still holds a certain level of intrigue, despite his poor play a season ago.

The Steelers proved this theory correct when they made the exact same move for former 1st round cornerback, Justin Gilbert. Though Gilbert was playing miserably with the Browns, Pittsburgh was more than interested at the thought of landing a young 1st round draft choice for the price of a 6th round pick.

Gilbert obviously didn’t pan out, but that won’t stop teams from trying. The Saints traded for former 1st round cornerback, Eli Apple last season, and he was able to revamp his career in New Orleans.

Artie Burns played pretty well in his first two NFL seasons, and there will be teams out there who will gladly take a chance on Burns for a day three draft pick. If the Steelers get any suitors, they should pounce at the opportunity to trade him.
