41. Antwaan Randle El, WR (2002)

Antawaan Randle El is a name that even younger Steelers fans should be familiar with. He played much of his career alongside Hines Ward, and though he stats were pedestrian, he showed up big for Pittsburgh when it mattered.

Randle El was a gadget in the truest sense of the word. He was a Swiss Army knife for the Steelers who could catch, run, pass, and return punts and kicks.

Randle El was a four-year starter at quarterback for the University of Indiana. He was mainly a duel threat in college and did a lot of damage on the ground. Randle El also averaged an astonishing 33.5 yards per punt return in college.

Pittsburgh fell in love with his versatility and drafted Randle El with the 62nd overall pick back in 2002. He quickly made the transition to wide receiver, but maintained a variety of duties that he excelled at in college – including returning the ball.

However, Randle El’s most famous play came in the 4th quarter of Super Bowl XL, where he threw a 43-yard touchdown pass to Hines Ward on a trick play.

Randle El only played four seasons for the Steelers before signing with Washington. He returned to Pittsburgh in 2010 to play one final season with the team he won a Super Bowl with.
