43. Kelvin Beachum, LT  (2012)

Kelvin Beachum may be a name you were surprised to see on this list, but this spot is warranted. In terms of longevity, Beachum didn’t offer a lot for the Steelers, but he was part of an offensive line that had produced some of the best pass protection Pittsburgh had ever seen.

Beachum was often banged up, and played just one full season for the Steelers in his four year stint in Pittsburgh. During this stretch he started 39 regular season games for the Steelers.

In 2014, when Beachum played a full season for the Steelers, he churned out a pass block efficiency rate of 97.5, according to Pro Football Focus – good for the best mark in the league among 78 qualifying tackles.

Beachum was always a much better pass protector than run blocker for the Steelers. He played just 6 games in 2015, and Pittsburgh decided to let him walk after the season.

Only playing over a span of four years for the Steelers, Beachum will never be considered one the great Pittsburgh offensive linemen, but he was part of a unit that may have been the best pass protecting line Pittsburgh has seen in it’s long history.
