40. Javon Hargrave, DT (2016)

Javon Hargrave is a player who is quickly gaining steam in Pittsburgh. The big defensive tackle had a bit of a slow start to his career – gaining just 4.0 sacks in his first 25 NFL starts.

However, he exploded as one of the best players on the Steelers in the second half of the 2018 season – posting a Pro Football Focus grade of 86.2 down the stretch. Hargrave finished the year with 6.5 sacks.

Despite his thick frame at 6’1” and 309 pounds, Javon Hargrave is much more of a knifing 3-technique than a run-stuffing defensive tackle. He excels at splitting offensive lineman and going north and south to the quarterback.

Hargrave is still very early into his NFL career, and he will likely be due a big contract from the Steelers after the 2019 season. The defensive tackle will be just 26 years old all of this year, and has a chance to elevate his name much higher than this if he continues to improve at the rate his has been.
