35. Emmanuel Sanders, WR (2010)

Emmanuel Sanders was a very good NFL player throughout his career, but reason he is not higher on this list is because his best years did not come in Pittsburgh.

Sanders was drafted to be a complement to speedster, Mike Wallace, but it was 6th rounder, Antonio Brown, who ended up taking the cake.

Though Sanders clearly trailed Brown and Wallace on the depth chart, he was more than capable as the teams’ number three option. Sanders didn’t get a lot of action until his 3rd season in the league, where he put up 626 yards for the Steelers.

His fourth year was his best to date – earning 67 catches for 740 yards and 6 touchdowns in Pittsburgh.

The ‘young money crew’ was comprised of Wallace, Brown, and Sanders, and each went on to earn big contracts with other organizations.

Sanders best years came as a member of the Denver Broncos where he posted three straight seasons of over 1,000 yards. He slides into the 35th spot of my top 50 Steelers of the 2000’s.
