Would you rather have Devin Bush be the perfect replacement for Ryan Shazier, or Diontae Johnson be the perfect replacement for Antonio Brown?

This one made me think a little bit, but I think I have made my choice (though I won’t tell you yet).

Ryan Shazier was fantastic for the Steelers. He finished the 2017 season with back-to-back Pro Bowl appearances by the age of 25.  Shazier was supposed to be the future at linebacker for the Steelers, and was the closest player to the ‘Troy Polamalu role’ this team has seen since the Hall of Fame bound retired in 2014.

The Steelers would no doubt love for Devin Bush to turn into the player Shazier was for the Steelers. Though Shazier took a lot of chances, he often guessed right and was the best player on the team at creating and forcing turnovers. He had the ability to impact the game like very few defensive players can.

On the other hand, Antonio Brown was obviously one of the leagues best receivers for a long time. While I don’t think, in general, the wide receiver position is as valuable as the linebacker position, it is relative to the player.

Brown was fantastic for the Steelers. Diontae Johnson shares many similarities with the former All-Pro, but his ability to separate on his routes could set him apart from other receivers. With Diontae Johnson assuming Brown’s role, the Steelers offense wouldn’t skip a beat.

This would be a difficult scenario to choose from. With Ryan Shazier getting better in seemingly every game he played, he had a chance to be an All-Pro in his own right. However, Brown had one of the best careers we have seen from the wide receiver position.

Which scenario would you choose? A perfect replacement for Antonio Brown, or Ryan Shazier?

I would love to hear your thoughts on each of these five scenarios. Please leave a comment below or on Twitter, and I will get back to you with my preference for each scenario. Come up with your own ‘would you rather’ scenario, and I would
