Pittsburgh Steelers running back, James Conner, is no stranger to giving credit to others. He refers to his teammates as a ‘band of brothers.’

It’s impossible not to fall in love with the awe-inspiring character and backstory of Steelers running back, James Conner. After being faced with cancer, Conner stayed positive and eventually became a Pro Bowl NFL running back.

However, Conner’s emotional contributions don’t end with his incredible story on defeating cancer. His team-first attitude, and constant positive demeanor make him a light to those around him.

Conner recently took to SirusXM NFL Radio for an interview, and his remarks were as uplifting as you could have predicted:

Conner Spoke highly of both old and new teammates – never once mentioning himself or what he personally looks to accomplish.

When faced with the question about the locker room and if his teammates have gotten close, James Conner had this to say:

"“You could just feel it in the air – feel the vibe… Throughout Pittsburgh, the OTAs and the mini camp we had, everybody was excited to be there in the morning – excited to see each other… We can’t wait to get back to training camp just to be around each other, man, and just to play for each other. It’s all about relationships so, you know it kind of felt like your all we got. Band of brothers.”"

Just like the iconic HBO mini series on Easy Company from World War II, James Conner refers to his teammates as a band of brothers. This is encouraging considering what the Steelers went through in the locker room last season.

It was no secret that teammates were fuming after Antonio Brown walked out on them in the darkest hour during a must-win game against the Bengals at the end of the season. From Facebook Live fiascoes to sideline temper tantrums, Steelers teammates were fed up with the antics.

Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell both forced their way out of Pittsburgh this offseason, but in some ways, the Steelers might be better for it. James Conner and some of his teammates only seem to have glowing words about each other to start the new league year.
