The Steelers have just a few years left of Ben Roethlisberger. Here are three trade scenarios they should explore in their Super Bowl window.

Whether we want to believe it is true or not, the Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl window is finally coming to an end. As Ben Roethlisberger goes so, does the Steelers. And his time is almost up.

Big Ben has had a remarkable 15-year career to this point. He has been a 6-time Pro Bowl quarterback and has led his team to 2 Super Bowl victories and a 3rd Super Bowl appearance.

Ben has been the most storied quarterback in Steelers history, and he crushed nearly every record set by Terry Bradshaw – including doubling his passing yardage (56,194 compared to 27,989). Ben also threw 363 touchdowns to Bradshaw’s 212 and just 190 interceptions to Terry’s 210.

Ben is bound for the Hall of Fame one day, and will likely go down as one of the top 20 quarterbacks to ever play the game.

However, like all good things, Ben’s reign will soon be coming to an end. The Steelers will be searching for their franchise quarterback in a few short years, and most of their seasoned offensive line will be nearing retirement age.

Because the Steelers are in a Super Bowl window, they need to find answers fast – anything that can help put them over the top and have a legitimate chance to win a Super Bowl.

Pittsburgh needs to start playing for now, while the window is still open just a crack. One way they can better their chances is through trades.
