Eagles

The Eagles are a team that makes sense for several reasons. In fact, an ESPN analyst wrote this offsesaon that the Eagles should make a call for Artie Burns.

The Eagles are in a bad way at cornerback, though the often injured Ronald Darby is returning, he hasn’t played more than 9 games in a season since 2016, and has never played a full season in his career.

Outside of Darby, Philadelphia is seriously lacking at the position. Jaylen Mills has earned grades of 39.0 and 57.2 in 2 of his past 3 NFL seasons, and has been very shaky as of late. Meanwhile, former 2nd round draft choice, Sidney Jones, has been dreadful in his first two seasons – earning grades of 50.7 and 47.5 in each of his first two years.

A fresh start for Artie Burns may be exactly what he needs to revamp his career. What better team to do it on that the Eagles who are shorthanded at cornerback outside of Darby.

If the Eagles would be willing to give up a day three draft choice, they could add a cornerback to their roster who could compete for the number two outside cornerback role from day one.

Burns is just a few hours away in Pittsburgh, and is already used to the environment in the north.
