Training camp gets underway for the Steelers on Friday. After an offseason of change, there are some new and familiar faces that can help propel the Steelers to Super Bowl contention.

The Steelers saw a lot of talent leave Pittsburgh this offseason. After free agency and the NFL draft, they brought in more talent in all the right places. The Steelers have a deeper and more balanced roster than they did in 2018.

Despite some solid acquisitions, the national media is still skeptical of the Steelers going into 2019. The Browns are still the trendy pick for the AFC North crown and Baltimore will be competitive again if Lamar Jackson improves.

Either way you cut it or whatever lens you want to look through, 2019 will be challenging for the black and gold in Pittsburgh. The division will not be easy to win and the schedule has its ups and downs.

In order for the Steelers to achieve their ultimate goal of bringing a seventh Lombardi to Pittsburgh, some players will have to make sizeable contributions. You could see guys like T.J. Watt turn into an All-Pro, Terrell Edmunds improve after playing a lot in his rookie year, or Vance McDonald turn into a consistently dangerous target for Big Ben and the offense.

We’re going to take a look at three players that could have a very big impact on the 2019 Steelers. They may not have the biggest roles on the team, but if they have a great season in 2019, it will make the Steelers an insanely deep team that will turn them from Super Bowl hopefuls to Super Bowl contenders.
