The Steelers 2019 season is rapidly approaching, and the month of August is filled with fantasy football drafts. We’ve got everything you need here.

In this episode, Still Curtain Podcast host Chris Halicke and contributor Dan Gilliam dive deep into everything in the world of fantasy football. The guys look at where the Steelers players rank, multiple other player previews, sleepers, and players you should avoid.

They also give you a little extra in this episode. They share a few strategies when drafting your teams in the coming weeks, better preparing you for success in 2019.

For this particular fantasy football preview, the guys run strictly off of the typical 10-team league, non-PPR (points-per-reception), with the standard lineup of one quarterback, two running backs, two receivers, one tight end, one defense, one kicker, and one flex (RB/WR/TE).

While Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell are not in Pittsburgh anymore, the Steelers still have many viable options in fantasy football. Ben Roethlisberger is still a starter in just about every league, James Conner should be a legitimate number one running back, along with JuJu Smith-Schuster being a number one receiver in every league format.

The Steelers have some value in the lower rounds with players like Vance McDonald, the Steelers’ defense, and Chris Boswell if  he finds his 2017 form again.

The Steelers have a couple of potential sleepers at receiver in James Washington and Donte Moncrief. Both players are competing for the number two receiver spot on the depth chart in training camp and will likely get many opportunities for targets with the attention JuJu will garner.

You might be surprised with a couple of the strategies Chris and Dan offer, but when it comes to fantasy football, understand that strategy is key, and so is a little bit of luck.

The Still Curtain Podcast will be covering everything Steelers every week as we get closer and closer to the start of the season. Listen and subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, and Spreaker. The podcast will soon be available on iHeartRadio as well.
