Sports analyst Chris Broussard weights in on the Antonio Brown situation. Says ‘there is no doubt in my mind’ Steelers are better off without him.

There has been a lot of debate this offseason on how the Steelers offense will perform this year without the likes of Antonio Brown. However, as his antics continue to get in the way, it’s becoming increasingly popular to say that Pittsburgh is better off without him.

One person completely on board with this line of logic is sports analyst Chris Broussard of Fox Sports. During a live segment of ‘First Things First’ Broussard weighed in on the Antonio Brown situation, leaving little doubt that the Steelers are better off without him:

Broussard was adamant about his view on Antonio Brown, and how cancerous he is was to the Steelers. Here is some of what the Fox Sports analyst had to say:

"“There is no doubt in my mind [the Steelers] are better off without [Antonio Brown]. They didn’t win a Super Bowl with him… for the Steelers, that’s what it is all about. It’s not about making the playoffs, winning 12 games, it’s about Super Bowls. And as great is A.B. is, they failed to do that. I do think that they’re better because I think the morale is going to be much better.”"

This would not have been a popular take just a year ago, when Antonio Brown was considered one of the most valuable offensive players in football. However, the tables have turned.

Broussard continued to express how the Steelers are no strangers to finding talent at the wide receiver position, and how there have always been wide receivers who would step up when one leaves.

I have been saying for a while now that Antonio Brown’s antics are not worth the skill he brings to an organization. That has never been more true than now.

After Brown got his way by forcing himself out of Pittsburgh (essentially to an organization he was on board with), the problems didn’t stop. Antonio Brown has become the laughing stock of the league by threatening to retire if he isn’t able to use a discontinued helmet that has been deemed unsafe.

It’s too early to say whether or not the Steelers offense will skip a beat without one of the leagues best receivers. But either way, they truly are better off without him. The rest of the football world is finally starting to see what we have seen for some time now.
