Tuzzar Skipper, EDGE

Tuzar Skipper is a 24-year old rookie, so tamper your expectations a bit. Having said that, the Toledo product has been fantastic in his first NFL action.

Skipper has managed a sack in each of his first two preseason contests, and has a combined 5 quarterback hits in two partial games.

The Steelers top four outside linebackers are solidified on their team. Though Ola Adeniyi was recently injured, he was once again one of the stars of training camp, and he will be on Pittsburgh’s roster to start the season.

Last year the Steelers rolled with three edge defenders for most of the year until Adeniyi came back healthy. This means there isn’t going to be any room for Skipper.

Other teams are watching and taking notice, however. Though the Steelers won’t be able to get a draft choice out of the undrafted outside linebacker, it’s entirely possible that they could do a player swap with another team.

Again the Steelers could really use some tight end depth. They should also be looking to improve the safety depth behind Sean Davis and Terrell Edmunds. They may be able to do just that with a Tuzar Skipper trade.
