Jaylen Samuels, RB

Samuels has been very solid so far in preseason, and has benefited further from poor performances from Benny Snell. Though he doesn’t stand to see a lot of carries, the second year running back could be in line for an increased workload in the passing game. He is the running back to own after James Conner.

James Conner, RB

Speaking of James Conner, the Pro Bowl running back stands to be even better for fantasy in 2019 – assuming he can stay healthy. Conner is in the best shape of his life, and showed a lot of promise against the Chiefs first-string defense. Conner is a safe bet to continue to see a work-horse load, especially with a struggling Benny Snell.

Ben Roethlisberger, QB

Originally, I would have had Roethlisberger as a ‘stock down’ player after losing All-Pro receiver Antonio Brown this year. However, Ben could very well be a more efficient passer without Brown. Though Roethlisberger hasn’t seen the field yet in preseason, James Washington and Diontae Johnson look like they could both be legitimate targets – ultimately helping Ben’s fantasy value in 2019.
