Will Devlin Hodges play?

Devlin Hodges is in a three way battle for two spots on the Steelers roster. It is between Mason Rudolph, Josh Dobbs and Devlin Hodges. It looks like Mason Rudolph is the #2 but there are still two more preseason games to go. It almost looks like a battle between Josh Dobbs and Devlin Hodges for the third job.

The question is, will Hodges play as he is the fourth quarterback on the depth chart? With Roethlisberger playing the first half, that means they will only have a half to play Mason Rudolph, Josh Dobbs and Devlin Hodges. Rudolph and Dobbs have the seniority and draft pedigree; so I would assume they will get a shot first.

Devlin Hodges was a successful quarterback at Stamford who went undrafted. He has shown this preseason that he deserved to be drafted. I would put him at the level of a legitimate #3 quarterback. He is also a rookie and so there is upside there. Hodges shows a lot of competence and confidence for a rookie undrafted quarterback.
