Diontae Johnson

I love me some Diontae Johnson. I am drafting him everywhere I can in my Dynasty Leagues. He was drafted in the third round by the Steelers and some were saying he was selected to “replace” Antonio Brown.

Come on now, stop it. NO ONE is replacing AB. He does, however, come with a penchant for getting separation and running really good routes. His NFL.com combine profile describes him as having “look out!” play making potential. Through two preseason games, he has had some good moments and some rookie mistakes.

Game one he was inactive but in game two he showed some good and bad plays. It started off with a muffed punt that Johnson was able to recover on his own. Then as a receiver, he had a pretty decent day that shows promise of greater things.

On 5 targets he was able to catch 3 and had 46 yards receiving. That’s an average of 15.3 yards per catch. He was even able to beat his man deep and score a TD. It was a poorly underthrown ball but Jonson made a good adjustment to pull it down in the end zone. Get your popcorn ready because this prospect could be a star.
