The Steelers starters finally got together for some in-game action in week three against Tennessee. The team is still in preparation of roster cuts and some players made stronger cases, while others fell backward.

The Steelers week three preseason game is in the books and the starters got the most playing time they will see until week one. The offense looked flat to start, but they settled in nicely before most of them were removed from action.

Big Ben shook off the rust and led a good-looking scoring drive capped off by a throw to JuJu Smith-Schuster. The receivers looked to get open fairly easily and the offensive line gave great protection.

James Conner looked in mid-season form with quick cuts and good burst out of the backfield. Jaylen Samuels also picked up where he left off as well, looking good as a receiver and cutting in space.

The defense looked very good allowing no passing yards to Marcus Mariota. They also only allowed three points before most of the starters were taken out of the game.

After their big guns left, there were a lot of men fighting for their paychecks and roster spots. Some took advantage of the opportunity and some players fell behind in a crucial time.
